The Canon CN8x15 IAS S/P1 is a premium PL-mount CINE-SERVO zoom designed to bridge the worlds of high-end cinema and professional live production.
Covering 15–120mm with a fast T2.95–T3.95 aperture range, the lens delivers exceptional versatility for feature films, television drama, commercials, documentaries, live events and high-end broadcast production. Its 1.5× built-in extender expands the range to 22.5–180mm, providing additional reach when required.
The detachable servo drive unit gives the lens genuine operational flexibility. With the servo attached, it provides smooth electronic zoom and focus control for live, remote and broadcast-style applications. With the servo removed, it operates as a conventional professional PL cinema zoom.
Designed for demanding modern production, the CN8x15 provides 8K optical performance, HDR capability and support for professional lens metadata, including Cooke /i Technology and ZEISS eXtended Data on the PL version.
